Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines
Effective and last updated: 30 September 2026
These rules apply to everything you do on TheProfitPath: the community, direct messages, stories, shared trades and achievements, mentor mode, Indicator Studio, AI conversations, uploads and the developer API. They form part of the Terms of Service. They also describe, in plain language, how we moderate, how you report something and how you appeal, as the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act require.
1. The short version#
- Be honest about who you are and what your results are.
- Do not give, sell or disguise investment advice or signals, and do not promise returns.
- Treat people decently. No harassment, hate, threats, doxxing or sexual content.
- Post only what you have the right to post. Respect copyright, privacy and confidentiality.
- Do not break, probe, scrape or overload the Service, or try to get around limits and safety systems.
2. Prohibited content and conduct#
You may not post, send, upload, generate or do any of the following:
- Illegal content of any kind, including content that is illegal where you or the recipient live, terrorist content, child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, and content that violates sanctions.
- Financial misconduct: pump-and-dump or other manipulation, unlicensed investment advice presented as personal recommendations, signal selling, fake or doctored performance screenshots, guaranteed-return claims, unregistered securities offerings, money laundering, and promotion of fraudulent prop firms, brokers or "account management" schemes.
- Harassment and hate: bullying, threats, stalking, slurs, dehumanising content, or attacks on people based on protected characteristics.
- Privacy violations: publishing another person's private information, screenshots of private conversations without consent, recording people through live voice mode without the consent the law requires.
- Deception: impersonating a person, company or TheProfitPath staff, fake accounts, misleading badges, cloned voices or likenesses, spam and engagement manipulation.
- Infringement: copyrighted charts, courses, indicators, books or media you have no right to share.
- Sexual content, graphic violence and self-harm promotion.
- Abuse of the Service: malware, prompt injection or attempts to manipulate the AI, credential stuffing, scraping outside the documented API, circumventing rate limits, plans, access controls or moderation, and selling access.
3. Special rules by feature#
- Shared trades and achievements: publish only your own results, do not hide losses to create a misleading picture, and remember that the fields you leave visible are visible to everyone who can see the post.
- Mentor mode: a mentor is a peer, not an adviser. Mentors may not charge through the Service, request credentials or trade on a student's account.
- Indicator Studio: indicators you publish must be your own work or properly licensed; published indicators are licensed to other users as described in the Terms, must not be presented as guaranteed signals and must not contain hidden network calls or obfuscated code.
- Direct messages and GIFs: participants only; not end-to-end encrypted; reviewed only on report, for safety or where the law requires.
- AI features: do not use them to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about another person, to produce regulated advice for others, or to generate prohibited content.
4. How moderation works#
Public content is not reviewed before it is published. We rely on reports, on automated signals (keyword, pattern and classifier checks, rate and abuse detection) and on security evidence to find content and accounts that may violate these rules. An automated system may open a safety case and recommend an action; an action affecting your access is applied only when the configured evidence and confidence requirements are met, and a person reviews every appeal. Automated tools make mistakes, which is why the appeal route exists.
Possible measures, chosen in proportion to severity, context, intent, history and risk to others:
- removing or hiding the content, or limiting who can see it;
- a warning, throttling, or restriction of particular features (posting, messaging, sharing, AI);
- temporary suspension; or
- permanent ban and, where required, a report to law enforcement.
Enforcement decisions are recorded in tamper-evident audit logs together with the evidence relied on. We may preserve evidence for as long as the Privacy Policy describes, and we may report content that gives rise to a suspicion of a serious crime to the competent authority.
5. Reporting content#
Anyone, with or without an account, can report content or an account through the report content form or by email to [email protected]. A good report includes the link or username, why you believe the content is illegal or breaks these rules, and, if you want a written decision, your name and email address. We confirm receipt, review reports in the order received with priority for safety-critical matters, and tell you what we decided and why. Copyright notices must include the elements listed in the Terms. Reports that are knowingly false or abusive may themselves lead to enforcement.
6. Statement of reasons and appeals#
When we remove your content or restrict your account we tell you what was affected, which rule or law applies, whether the decision was automated, and how to appeal. The notice is sent to your account email and shown in the app. You may appeal within six months through the appeal route presented in the Service (or by email if you no longer have access). Appeals are reviewed by a person who was not involved in the original decision, using the original case file and the evidence preserved with it. If we were wrong we reverse the decision and tell you. An appeal does not pause an enforcement unless the law requires or we decide so. You keep every right to go to court, to a consumer body or to a certified out-of-court dispute body in your country.
7. Protecting people under 18#
The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly allow accounts for anyone under 18 and we close accounts that turn out to belong to a minor. If you believe a minor is using the Service, report it. We do not serve the Service to anyone we know to be a child, and we do not design features to appeal to children.
